Buyer pain points
Where CNC Machined Part Orders Go Wrong
Machined parts hide their problems inside: dimensions that drift between batches, stresses that move after machining, and records nobody kept.
Batch-to-batch dimensional drift
Impact on your project: Later lots fail incoming inspection even though the sample passed.
Without stable fixturing and in-process checks, dimensional consistency depends on the operator's day.
Distortion after machining
Impact on your project: Thin walls and precision features move after the part leaves the machine.
Internal stresses and aggressive setups distort thin-wall and precision parts after finishing.
No dimensional records for critical parts
Impact on your project: Incoming audits stall without measurement records to show.
Regulated buyers need dimensional evidence that many shops cannot provide.
How We Solve It
Precision work at Chuntian is planned around stability: fixturing, inspection, and finishing are part of the route.
Stability-first process planning
Fixturing, clamping, and tool paths are planned for tolerance-critical and thin-wall features.
In-process dimensional checks
Critical dimensions are checked during the run and recorded, not only at the end.
Finishing integrated into the route
Deburring and edge condition are part of the machining route, so parts arrive ready for assembly.
What this means for you
Machined parts that repeat batch to batch, hold their shape, and arrive with records you can show.

Capability matrix
What we can do to a machined part
The four families below cover most custom machined parts. Which ones apply depends on the geometry, the material and the quantity required.
Milling
3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis milling for pockets, profiles and complex geometry.
Turning
Turning for shafts, bushings and rotational features, including Swiss-type work for small parts.
Inspection
Dimensional inspection against the drawing, with results recorded for the buyer.
Finishing
Deburring and surface treatment to protect the part and meet the specified finish.
Selection guide
Match the machining route to your part
The same part can be machined in different ways. Switch between the options to see what each route changes.
Rotational geometry
Parts whose main features are rotational are usually turned. Diameter, length and thread specification determine the machine and the setup.
Diameter and concentricity tolerances are confirmed against the drawing before quoting.
State the critical diameters and any thread specification.
Typical applications
Where custom machined parts are used
The examples below describe typical application types, not specific customer projects.
Shafts and bushings
Rotational parts that transmit motion or locate other components inside an assembly.
Housings and covers
Machined bodies that enclose or support moving parts and provide mounting surfaces.
Fixtures and tooling
Plates, blocks and locating features used to hold parts during production.
Production floor
Equipment behind the parts
Machining and fabrication run on the same production floor, so a part that needs both processes stays on one process route and one inspection record.

How an order runs
From drawing to shipment
Drawing review
We read the drawing and 3D model and identify features that need clarification.
Manufacturability feedback
Where a feature is difficult or costly to machine, we flag it and suggest an alternative.
First article
A first article is produced and inspected before the batch is released.
Inspection record
Inspection results and QC photo packs are prepared for the buyer.
Shipment
Parts are packed against a shipment checklist before dispatch.
Buyer questions
Questions buyers ask before ordering
Which tolerances can you hold on machined parts?
Achievable tolerance depends on the feature, material and part size. Tell us which dimensions are critical and we will confirm what the process route can hold for your part.
Which metals do your CNC machining services cover?
Common metals including aluminium, stainless steel and brass. State the grade on your drawing; if you have not fixed a grade, describe the service conditions and we will discuss options.
Can you apply a specified surface finish?
Finishing is applied where the drawing specifies it. State the finish and any standard it references so it can be included in the quotation.
Do you machine small batches as well as production runs?
Both are handled. Tell us the expected quantity at enquiry stage, because it affects the setup and the process route we recommend.
What records accompany machined part deliveries?
Machined deliveries carry inspection records for critical dimensions and QC photo packs prepared as part of the pre-shipment workflow.
